MOOG OBTAINS TÜV RHEINLAND CERTIFICATION FOR SAFETY-CRITICAL BLADE FEATHERING ON WIND TURBINES

East Aurora, NY, USA, September 19, 2012 – The Moog Pitch Servo Drive, a key product in Moog’s Pitch Systems that is responsible for guaranteeing the safe operation of wind turbines, has obtained TÜV certification for compliance with the guideline for the certification of wind turbines GL2010 issued by Germanischer Lloyd. This validates that Moog designs achieve Performance Level D for the feathering safety function, which ensures that the most critical operation of utility scale turbines meets relevant global standards. Moog leveraged its technical leadership and extensive experience in this field to be one of the first companies to obtain this certification for AC Electric Pitch Systems.

SABIC expone en InnoTrans su gama ampliada de placas LEXAN™ para interiores de ferrocarril, con el objetivo de ayudar a los clientes a cumplir las próximas normativas

BERLIN, Alemania, 18 de septiembre de 2012 - Anticipándonos a la implementación de la norma paneuropea sobre seguridad antiincendios en interiores de ferrocarril, la división Innovative Plastics de SABIC ha ampliado su gama de soluciones de materiales de alto rendimiento con la introducción de dos nuevos productos de placas LEXAN™ que complementan su ya muy completa cartera de materiales. Los nuevos productos incluyen la placa LEXAN H6500, fabricada con blend de PC/acrilonitrilo-butadieno-estireno (PC/ABS) que cumple el nuevo estándar armonizado CEN/TS 45545, de próxima aplicación, y LEXAN H6200, una nueva calidad adaptada a la norma DIN alemana. Ambos productos están diseñados para ayudar a los clientes de compañías ferroviarias a satisfacer la creciente demanda de mayor sostenibilidad y de termoplásticos avanzados con retardante del fuego libre de cloro y bromo, que mejoran el diseño y desarrollo de aplicaciones interiores en ferrocarriles.
