Clariant with a good start into 2016 – improved sales and increased profitability
“Clariant had a good start into the year with solid sales growth and profitability improvement,” said CEO Hariolf Kottmann. “All our business areas performed well in the current mixed global economic environment and significantly expanded their EBITDA margins. This positive development in all business areas was achieved by a positive mix effect in our higher margin Business Areas as well as the first impact of the differentiated business steering in Plastics & Coatings. For 2016, we are on track to achieve our targets despite the continued challenging economic environment.”

Avery Dennison adquiere Mactac Europa
GLENDALE (California) — 27 de abril de 2016 — Avery Dennison (NYSE:AVY) ha anunciado hoy un acuerdo definitivo para la adquisición del negocio europeo de Mactac, que hasta ahora pertenecía a Platinum Equity, empresa de capital privado con sede en California, por un precio de 200 millones de euros, incluidas las deudas asumidas. Con ingresos de 147 millones de euros en 2015 (unos 170 millones de dólares) y 470 empleados, se trata de una empresa líder en fabricación de materiales de alta calidad sensibles a la presión con presencia en varios segmentos de alto valor, como gráficos, etiquetas especiales y cintas adhesivas industriales. Las principales líneas de productos de Mactac complementan la cartera actual de gráficos de Avery Dennison.

Clariant successfully places EUR 300 million of certificates of indebtedness
Muttenz, April 26, 2016 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, announced today the issuance of in aggregate EUR 300 million of debt in the German market for certificates of indebtedness (“Schuldschein”). The four certificates have terms of 4.5 years (EUR 156.5 million with a fixed coupon and EUR 55.5 million with a floating coupon), 7 years (EUR 73.5 million with a fixed coupon) and 10 years (EUR 14.5 million with a fixed coupon).

Clariant Healthcare Packaging Expands BCP Program with Desiccants from Chinese Site
