GE Additive has announced that Sandvik Additive Manufacturing has become a strategic partner in its Binder Jet beta partner program. Sandvik has one of the widest alloys program for additive manufacturing on the market, marketed under the Osprey® brand.

Perstorp is pioneering the Oxo-market by launching the first partly renewable carboxylic acids - 2-Ethylhexanoic Acid Pro and Valeric Acid Pro. 2-EHA Pro is based on 25% renewable raw materials, and Valeric Acid Pro contains 20% renewable content. The renewable material consists of biogas, and replaces natural gas using the mass balance concept. Users can expect the same quality as the existing 2-EHA and Valeric acid, with the additional benefit of a lower carbon footprint. The renewable oxo portfolio will also include oxo aldehydes and alcohols.

The launch represented an innovative use of recycled, transparent plastic tea capsules in the industry, representing an exciting step towards a more sustainable future with products which are easier to recycle and that help to create a circular economy for plastics.

Mikael Staal Axelsen, Group CEO Fibertex Personal Care and Innowo Print and Mette Due Søgaard, QA & Sustainability Director of Fibertex Personal Care at the Aalborg site, exploring ISCC Plus certified nonwovens.SABIC, a global leader in the chemicals industry, is collaborating with Fibertex Personal Care, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of spunbond nonwovens for the hygiene industry, to create a range of nonwovens using high-purity recycled plastics from SABIC’s TRUCIRCLE portfolio and services. This will be the world’s first nonwovens range based on recycled plastics in the hygiene industry. The initiative is seen by the two partners as an exciting step towards a more sustainable supply chain and greater recyclability for nonwovens.
