Syensqo launches its first fluoro-ionomer based on non-fluorosurfactant technology
Syensqo, a science company focused on developing groundbreaking solutions that support the sustainability ambitions of its customers, has launched Aquivion® N+ 125D, a fluoro-ionomer produced using Syensqo’s proprietary new NFS (non-fluorosurfactant) technology. The new grade is commercially available worldwide and is intended for use in select hydrogen-related applications.

Clariant EnviCat™ N2O-S catalyst to cut CO2eq by 690,000 tons/year at Hengli’s nitric acid plant in China
Clariant, a sustainability-focused specialty chemical company, today announced the successful installation of its EnviCat N2O-S catalyst at the nitric acid plant of Hengli Petrochemical. EnviCat N2O-S was installed as part of Clariant’s global Climate Campaign, which offered a free load of the N2O removal catalyst to nitric acid producers with no abatement technology. One of the winners of the campaign is Hengli which operates a 300,000 metric ton per annum nitric acid plant in Dalian, China. With the successful installation of the catalyst in June 2024, the plant is projected to reduce its N2O emissions by 690,000 tons of CO2eq annually.

Mondi Warsaw marks completion of €90 million plant upgrade with leading manufacturers in Poland
Mondi, a global leader in sustainable packaging and paper, has recently completed a €90 million investment upgrade in its Mszczonów plant near Warsaw which doubled its capacity, making it the largest corrugated solutions plant in Poland, and one of the biggest in Europe. The plant is now ideally set up to meet the needs of manufacturers requiring innovative and sustainable packaging solutions with enhanced levels of quality and service.
