ARLANXEO: New Rubber Technology Center further strengthens market position in China
Changzhou, December 15, 2016 – ARLANXEO, a global leader in synthetic elastomers, today opened its state-of-the-art Rubber Technology Centre (RTC) in Changzhou, China. With the most advanced analytical testing capabilities to date, the RTC is located within the premises of ARLANXEO’s state-of-the-art EPDM plant, and is one of ARLANXEO's global rubber testing centers.

Bundesminister Hermann Gröhe bei ARLANXEO in Dormagen
Dormagen – Bundesgesundheitsminister Hermann Gröhe, zugleich der direkt gewählte Bundestagsabgeordneter für Dormagen, Neuss, Grevenbroich und Rommerskirchen besuchte jetzt erstmals die Deutschland-Zentrale sowie das Technikum von ARLANXEO in Dormagen. Der Dormagener Bürgermeister Erik Lierenfeld gehörte ebenfalls zu den Gästen.

ARLANXEO to increase prices for its Baypren (CR) products
Dormagen / Maastricht - ARLANXEO raises its prices for Chloroprene rubber and Chloroprene adhesive grades (CR) in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia. The price adjustments per metric ton for CR is up to 200 EUR or 230 USD and will be effective November 15, 2016. The measure is the result of the overall market- and cost developments of the past months.

NRW-Wirtschaftsminister Garrelt Duin (SPD, 3. von links) und Erik Lierenfeld, Bürgermeister der Stadt Dormagen (SPD, 1. von rechts), besuchten jetzt erstmalig ARLANXEO an seinem größten deutschen Standort Dormagen. Dort wurden sie von Matthias Zachert (2. von links), Vorsitzender des ARLANXEO-Gesellschafterausschusses und Vorstandsvorsitzender von LANXESS und Jan Paul de Vries (1. von links), CEO von ARLANXEO, empfangen. ARLANXEO ist einer der weltweit führenden Anbieter für synthetischen Kautschuk und auf die Entwicklung, Herstellung sowie den Vertrieb von Hochleistungskautschuken spezialisiert. In Dormagen beschäftigt das Unternehmen rund 500 Mitarbeiter, weltweit sind es insgesamt etwa 3.800 Mitarbeiter an 20 Standorten.

ARLANXEO: Technological upgrade successfully implemented in Keltan® EPDM plant in Orange
Düsseldorf - ARLANXEO, a joint venture between LANXESS and Saudi Aramco, a globally leading player in performance elastomers, has completed a technological upgrade at its Keltan® EPDM plant in Orange, TX. The update will lead to significant product improvements and an extension of the Keltan® product range of ARLANXEO. The company will have invested a total of $34 million over the last 3 years in its facility in Orange. “The Orange plant is of key importance for ARLANXEO in the US, and is a key element of our global network of production operations in four countries across North and South America, Europe, and China,” says Jim Francis, Manager Keltan® Manufacturing at ARLANXEO.

ARLANXEO: Products from the Keltan® EPDM plant in China successfully introduced in the market
Düsseldorf - The Keltan® EPDM plant in China provides ARLANXEO with the ability to serve customers in China and throughout Asia, with premium products based on the proprietary Keltan ACE™ technology. The plant, which started up in 2015 and has a nameplate capacity of 160,000 metric tonnes / year is producing the full range of products as envisaged at start-up, including high and low Mooney grades. Customers have evaluated, approved and successfully applied the products from the plant.

ARLANXEO with new proprietary process to improve fuel economy of tires
Dusseldorf - At K 2016 in Dusseldorf, ARLANXEO will be introducing a newly developed technology for the production of functionalized solution rubbers. The application of this new technology to both styrene butadiene rubber (S-SBR) and functionalized butadiene rubber - in particular neodymium catalyzed butadiene rubber (Nd-BR) – increases the interaction with fillers, helping to improve the dynamic properties of tire tread compounds.
