ARCHROMA TO PRESENT TEXTILE FUNCTIONALITY INNOVATION & SUSTAINABILITY FOR THE SPORTSWEAR INDUSTRY IN CHINA

Reinach, 10 March 2014 - Archroma, a global leader in specialty chemicals, will participate in the upcoming China Outdoor Sports Industry Summit 2014.

During the event, Paul Cowell, Apparel and Interior Marketing Manager for Archroma in Asia, will present on how working with brand owners and retailers of new sports textiles, chemical innovation and sustainability are supporting the development of technologies allowing effects such as brighter colors, water resistance, dirt repellence, heat management, cosmetic ingredients release, as well as hygiene and moisture management.

With the growing awareness of consumers and NGOs about how products are made, brands and retailers are under growing pressure to come up with technologies not only offering the coolest function and fashion, but also allowing a much lighter footprint on the environment and the health and safety of the consumers and the future generations. Archroma has developed a tool to help brand owners, retailers and textile manufacturers identify and select products and processes that can help them on the way towards more sustainable textiles: ONE WAY.

Archroma’s ONE WAY sustainability service is the winner of the prestigious ICIS Innovation Award for Best Business Innovation 2013. The award confirms Archroma's strong commitment to innovation with world-class quality standards, high service levels, cost-efficiency and sustainability.
