Avery Dennison Roll Materials Europe gains new vice president/general manager

Avery Dennison is pleased to announce the appointment of Don Stoebe to the position of vice president and general manager, Roll Materials Europe, effective September 1, 2003. Mr. Stoebe will be based in Leiden, the Netherlands, and will provide overall leadership for our European roll materials businesses. He brings twenty years of experience and expertise gained in the Avery Dennison organization.

In 1980, Mr. Stoebe gained his BS in Chemical Engineering & French at Carnegie-Mellon University. Three years later, he joined Avery Dennison's Fasson Roll North America organization as a process development engineer. Since then, he has filled increasingly more responsible positions, finding time to gain an Exec. MBA from Georgia State University in 1994.

Having worked in Georgia, Ohio and Pennsylvania, Mr. Stoebe was promoted to general manager, Roll Materials Europe, Northern Region in 1995 and to vice president and general manager of the unit in 1997. In this role, he received an award for excellent leadership.

Mr. Stoebe returned to the U.S. in 1999 as vice president and general manager of the Engineered Films Division. In 2001, he was appointed vice president and general manager of the U.S. Specialty Tape Division, and was awarded a Leadership Excellence Award for Leadership and Organizational Development, recognizing his outstanding work in recruiting and developing future business leaders. Over the past year, Mr. Stoebe has led his division's growth activities with great success.

With his outstanding leadership qualities, people-oriented management style and exceptional knowledge of the European roll label market, Mr. Stoebe is a huge asset for RME.
