NEW FASSON SPECIALTY UL-APPROVED LABELSTOCKS JOIN THE FASSON DURABLES RANGE

Leiden, The Netherlands, Two versatile new specialty labelstocks to fulfill the rising market demands extend the existing Fasson Durables product range from Avery Dennison Roll Materials Europe: Fasson PVC Outdoor Matt White, with a seven year outdoor life, and Fasson PET Void Check Matt Chrome for tamper-evident labels. The two new products bring an extra dimension to the growing professional Fasson Durables package of labelstocks for every type of functional, durable labelling application. Like all products in the Fasson Durables range, they are offered in a low minimum quantity of just 300 sq m.

Fasson PVC Outdoor Matt White - a seven-year-life polymeric plasticised facefilm – has been introduced to complement the existing Fasson PVC Outdoor Gloss White quality. Its facestock is printable by thermal transfer using resin ribbons, and the high-performance solvent acrylate adhesive Fasson AL170 will stick fast in even the worst outdoor conditions. The product is pre-approved for labels on electronic and electrical goods, according to UL969

Fasson PET Void Check Matt Chrome is a tamper-evident ’void’ construction which will, on removal, display a ‘chequerboard’ effect on the label which is irreversible. UL pre-approved, it gives excellent thermal transfer print results, and can also be printed using conventional processes. It is coupled with Fasson S8015, a permanent acrylic adhesive offering high initial tack, adhesion, and shear on both low-energy and high-energy surfaces, and even on powder-coated surfaces.

Says Fasson Durables product manager, Ulrike Stiffel: ‘We recognise that for Fasson Durables print runs will be short and the end-user will require fast delivery. That’s why we offer this product range with a very low minimum order quantity and with 48h ex plant a very fast turnround.

‘In addition to our standard Fasson Durables, we can make special labelstocks to customers special orders. The Fasson Specialty ‘Mix and Match’ portfolio allows customer to design their own laminates by combining components from the stock Fasson range of facestocks, adhesives, and release liners. Even Piggyback constructions and in some cases Gumpattern and Coatweight adjustments are possible!’
