AVERY DENNISON’S GLOBAL MDO FILM IS HONOURED AT RINGIER TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION AWARD 2013

SHANGHAI, China – October 31, 2013 – Avery Dennison Corporation a global leader in the label and packaging industry, is winning acclaim across China with its Global MDO film. In July, it captured the “Technology Innovation Award” in the Packaging Material and Design Concept category of the Ringier Technology Innovation Award 2013, which recognizes the innovators in China's packaging industry each year.

The Ringier Technology Innovation Award aims to encourage, acknowledge and reward those individuals and companies who have introduced and developed a new idea, a new methodology, a new product or a new technology for manufacturing production efficiency, cost effectiveness, user convenience, which might result in energy saving and more responsible clean manufacturing in the packaging industry.

The Ringier Technology Innovation Award follows two other prestigious awards won by Global MDO in China. They include the 'Green Technology Award' at the Green Printing Awards organized by the China Academy of Printing Technology and keyin.cn, and the ‘Green Packaging Award” at the second Asia Pacific Cosmetics Innovation Summit.

Global MDO, with an ultra-thin PET liner, has earned these awards because it yields more labels per roll, less waste per roll and lower transportation costs than predecessor products. It also delivers excellent clarity and on-container adhesion that creates eye-catching labels on the shelf. These are compelling differentiators for manufacturers and consumers alike.
