NEW TOOLS FOR EASIER SELECTION OF DURABLE GOODS LABELING MATERIALS
OEGSTGEEST, the Netherlands — October 20, 2014 — The Avery Dennison durables range has just benefited from the release of a whole new set of tools, all designed to make choosing the right durables labeling material fast and trouble-free.
These documents include a new durables portfolio overview, which gives an at-a-glance summary of what sets Avery Dennison materials apart along with detailed product specifications.
A new face materials decision tree allows rapid selection of the right film based on criteria such as TT printability, chemical resistance and outdoor exposure. There is also a new adhesives decision tree, which shows the key properties of six different adhesives (including emulsion acrylic, solvent acrylic and solvent RHA options). Service options for durables Exact and Ready Width ordering are also shown in a service overview.
Ulrike Steinfort, Technical Marketing Manager Durables, said that new selection tools have been created to help meet the diverse challenges that converters face when creating durables applications: “Our label converters work across a huge range of possible applications – anything from a straightforward application such as logistics, where cost-effectiveness is a key issue, through to high-end specialty projects where a label has to both look right and withstand very heavy environmental challenges for sustained periods.
“These new resources have been designed to allow rapid identification of exactly the right material for any job. Of course we are also always on hand to give very specific technical advice on any application, and the fact that Avery Dennison offers the broadest range of adhesive technologies means that we can almost always provide the most productive way forward.”
