Azelis announces a new contract filling service agreement with MP Biomedicals
Today, Azelis announces a new contract filling agreement with MP Biomedicals. Under the terms, Azelis will fill different sizes and combinations of raw material spheres into centrifuge tubes, at its pharma warehouse complex in Krefeld, Germany. This service will be done via Azelis for a leading diagnostic company on behalf of MP Biomedicals. The spheres are used as lysing matrices for the isolation of DNA, RNA, or proteins from difficult tissue samples and along with the tubes, are supplied by MP Biomedicals.
Controlled, certified filling takes place within a clean room class D area under GMP conditions. Azelis commissioned a new automatic, high-speed weighing and filling machine customised to MP Biomedicals’ requirements, to deliver an optimal certified DNase and RNase-free filling service to customers.

One of a number of Azelis’ specialist sites for pharmaceuticals, Krefeld has been certified GMP (good manufacturing practice) and GDP (good distribution practice) since 2008. In addition to filling and re-filling, the qualified, temperature controlled ambient and cold store Pharma warehouse has a capacity of 1,500m2 with more than 1,000 pallet spaces. Azelis is ready to offer customised filling, re-filling and re-packaging to other customers as well.
