Belden Presents New Field-attachable Valve Connectors from its Hirschmann Product Range
Neckartenzlingen, Germany - March 26, 2013 - Belden Inc., a global leader in signal transmission solutions for mission-critical applications, has extended its Hirschmann product program to include new field-attachable valve connectors from the GDM series. These type B connectors guarantee both a dependable power supply and reliable data transmission, ensuring high productivity for systems and machines. They are available without circuitry or with more than 20 different electronic inserts that protect downstream circuitry against voltage surges or electromagnetic interference. Versions featuring built-in status indicators (with/without circuit protection) are also available. The valve connectors feature industrial protection class IP65/67 (optionally IP68) and can be used within a maximum temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. Other connector features include high shock and vibration resistance, and extensive resistance to chemicals and UV radiation. Easy-to-grip housings ensure that connectors can be rapidly assembled. Rounded edges make it difficult for dirt to accumulate and ensure that it can be easily removed.

Belden Presents HiView, a New Interface for Hirschmann Switches

Java libraries no longer need to be installed on users’ computers, thus increasing the availability of both the user interface and the network.

Belden Extends its Lumberg Automation LioN-R Series
Schalksmühle, Germany – February 21, 2013 - Belden Inc., a global leader in signal transmission solutions for mission-critical applications, has extended its Lumberg Automation product program in the EMEA region to include three new I/O modules featuring industrial protection class IP67. They provide secure connection between actuators/sensors and control units even under the harshest environmental conditions. Providing additional support for real-time (RT) and isochronous real-time (IRT) communication, the modules offer 16 digital channels configured as inputs, outputs or a combination of both. All versions come with an encapsulated metal housing, vibration-resistant M12 connection technology, and short-circuit proof outputs. Galvanic separation between the I/O channels and the LAN connection ensures reliable data transmission. The behavior of output channels in the event of a fault can be defined via a fail-safe function. What's more, the easy diagnostics concept allows faults to be located swiftly. An integrated dual-port switch (10/100 Mbit/s) allows both line and ring topologies.

Belden Adds New Hirschmann PowerMICE
Neckartenzlingen, Germany - February 19, 2013 - Belden Inc., a global leader in signal transmission solutions for mission-critical applications, presents in the EMEA region with the new PowerMICE, the third generation of the Modular Industrial Communication Equipment family from its Hirschmann product portfolio. This modular switch for DIN rail mounting offers comprehensive network protection for the first time. The switch incorporates security mechanisms that regulate network access and protect against attacks. These include port security, DHCP Snooping, Dynamic ARP Inspection, IP Source Guard, ingress / egress ACL, sFlow, Storm Control, automatic Denial-of-Service prevention and port access control via 802.1x including multi-client authentication, Radius VLAN/policy assignment and guest/unauthenticated VLAN. Hardware redundancy methods such as PRP (Parallel Redundancy Protocol) and HSR (High Availability Seamless Redundancy) also ensure uninterrupted data communication.
