Belden Opens Plant in China to Strengthen Service for Global Market
Venlo, The Netherlands - July 23, 2014 - Belden Inc., a global leader in signal transmission solutions for mission-critical applications, has begun producing industrial connectors in China. A new plant in Suzhou, in the eastern Jiangsu Province, was officially opened on June 23, putting the company in a strong position to capitalize on growth opportunities in key markets across the whole of the Asia-Pacific. Belden says it will also increase its leadership in high quality end-to-end signal transmission solutions.

Auf der 90-Jahr-Feier der Hirschmann Firmen wurden die Preisträger der Richard-Hirschmann-Stiftung ausgezeichnet
Neckartenzlingen - 11. Juli 2014 - Belden Inc., ein weltweit führender Anbieter von Signalübertragungslösungen für unternehmenskritische Anwendungen, hat am 5. Juli 2014 am Standort Neckartenzlingen das 90-jährige Jubiläum seiner Marke Hirschmann zusammen mit den Unternehmen Hirschmann Car Communication und Logwin mit einem Familientag gefeiert. Auf dieser Veranstaltung sind auch die diesjährigen Preisträger der Richard-Hirschmann-Stiftung ausgezeichnet worden. Diese Stiftung, die 1969 am Institut für Hochfrequenztechnik der Universität Stuttgart eingerichtet wurde, würdigt herausragende Leistungen von angehenden Ingenieuren der Fachrichtung Elektro- und Informationstechnik. Die Preisträger des Jahres 2014 sind die Master-Studenten Raul Amirpour und Marc Fischer und die Bachelor-Studenten Lorenz Hopfmüller und Matthias Schweikardt. Die Urkunden sowie die Schecks von je 1.200 Euro überreichten Professor Dr. Jan Hesselbarth, Vorsitzender des Stiftungsrates, J. Dietrich Mayer, Mitglied des Stiftungsrates und Enkel von Richard Hirschmann, der Geschäftsführer der Hirschmann Car Communication GmbH, Ludwig Geis, und Wolfgang Schenk, Vice President Sales & Marketing bei Belden und Geschäftsführer der Hirschmann Automation and Control GmbH. Außerdem hielt jeder von ihnen für einen der vier Studenten die Laudatio. An der Preisverleihung nahmen auch Familienangehörige der Preisträger und zahlreiche Führungskräfte der Hirschmann Firmen teil.

Running on smart phones or tablets, this app improves network availability by allowing users to access status information about switches from almost anywhere. To avoid typing errors on the smaller keypads used on these devices, IP addresses can also be entered by scanning a QR code affixed to the switches. A further alternative is to select network devices from lists.
