Belden IBC Preview
At IBC (8-12 September, Amsterdam) Belden will present its new corporate image at stand number 1.219. The company will demonstrate the advantages that its product range offer in HDTV applications.
Amongst the innovations on show will be:
Belden's range of Brilliance™ broadcast video coaxes, designed for maximum bandwidth, minimum return loss and minimum attenuation loss. These cables meet the very tight specifications for electrical properties and are ideally suited for both analogue and digital video in broadcast, post-production and other critical video applications. The Belden Brilliance broadcast video coaxes performance specifications are extended from 3 GHz to 4.5 GHz - and every reel is sweep tested for return loss and certified to the new higher frequency. In fact, an independent test laboratory recently carried out an in-depth assessment of the HD performance of the video coaxes used in TV studios. Cables were tested for return loss, attenuation and maximum cable run on HD (1080i and 720p). The most popular precision video coaxial cables for HDTV/ SDI, Belden Brilliance™ 179DT, 1855A, 1855ENH, 1505A, 1505F, 1694A and 7731A were subjected to extended testing. In the end results all Belden products delivered performance values that exceeded those listed in Belden's own catalogues.
Belden Brilliance CatSnake Tactical Heavy Duty Category 5e Audio/Video Cables. Belden now offers Brilliance CatSnake Category 5e cables for use in patching Ethernet or digital audio/video formats utilising Cat 5e type cables because these cables are extremely rugged and use Belden's patented Bonded-Pair design.
They can be used in high traffic areas in a broadcast studio or in any type of of tactical field deployable audio/video installation, delivering superior performance.
Belden Premium Construction Speaker cables.
Belden's new range of ultra-flexible, low capacitance premium install speaker cables, made with oxygen-free copper. The copper conductors of Brilliance Low Cap OFHC speaker cables have been manufactured using an upright shaft manufacturing process. The result is a high conductivity copper conductor that is inherently free of impurities, delivering exceptional sound clarity.
