Belden Focuses on Productivity and Reliability at SPS/IPC/Drives 2014

Belden Highlights Benefits of Existing Industrial Product Range and Introduces New Products and Solutions in Hall 10 Booth # 120

Hirschmann Embedded Ethernet EESX20 and EESX30 switches

The new Embedded Ethernet EESX20 and EESX30 switches from Hirschmann provide powerful managed gigabit switch capability for automation equipment. They offer a cost-effective solution for integrating powerful gigabit switch technology into automation equipment and make it possible to add state-of-the-art switch technology to existing automation equipment.

New Quick Connect feature for EtherNet/IP Rugged I/O Modules

Lumberg Automation has added a new Quick Connect feature to its modules in the LioN-R series so they can quickly and efficiently power up and join an EtherNet/IP network after a tool exchange on a robot has been performed – reducing the time it takes for the automatic tool changers (ATCs) found on modern robots to exchange tools and switch out the task the robot performs.

New Lumberg Automation Field Attachable M12 Connectors (RSCIS 4D/9) for EtherNet/IP and PROFINET Applications

These field attachable connectors are ideally suited for EtherNet/IP and PROFINET applications and work with all Hirschmann OCTOPUS switches. RSCIS 4D/9 connectors are designed specifically for machine building and material handling industries. The Rail approved BRSCIS 4D/9 connector version is ideal for rolling stock applications, where vibrations and inflammability pose constant challenges – specifically for supervision, security and media systems.

Belden DataTuff Industrial Ethernet range

Belden’s comprehensive DataTuff Industrial Ethernet cable and connectivity range delivers the best fit for all industrial Ethernet applications and ensures the highest level of reliability, quality and performance. Specifiers can choose from products suitable for indoor and outdoor applications, for use underground, and for other harsh conditions. Cordsets come with RJ45 and M12 connectors, and IP20, IP67 and IP68 protection. A new IE cable selector guide is available now.

MIPP - Industrial-Strength Patch Panel

New from Belden is the Modular Industrial Patch Panel (MIPP), a robust and versatile termination panel for both fiber and copper cables that need to be connected from operating environment to active equipment. Easily installed on any standard 35mm DIN rail, MIPP features high port-density to meet expanding network connectivity needs within limited space. MIPP is Belden's high-quality solution for performance-critical Industrial Ethernet Applications.

Hirschmann GDM Industrial Connectors

Molded valve connectors in the Hirschmann GDM series allow a wide range of automation components to be reliably powered and connected to the data network, which increases the overall productivity of machines and systems. These connectors feature robust design, and can withstand even the most demanding environmental conditions. With high-quality casing materials, which are resistant to numerous chemicals and ultraviolet light, the GDM connectors ensure a long service life to reduce the total cost of ownership. These new connectors can be used worldwide, since they fulfill all relevant international standards and, like no other on the market, are approved under the UL 2238 standard.

Greyhound Ruggedized Gigabit-ETHERNET switch

The ruggedized Greyhound switches are designed specifically for demanding electrical power generation and distribution applications. The Greyhound range is available in two different basic versions, one with 16 FE TX ports and the other with 8 FE TX ports plus 8 FE SFP ports. The basic unit offers also a media module slot which allows adding or changing ports later-on in the field. These media modules are available in different versions from all copper to all fiber with a choice of fiber types (ST, SC, SFP, multimode or singlemode). These switches are ideal for new installations and retrofit of existing substations where ambient temperatures can be extremely high.

MSP30-X Modular Ethernet Gigabit Switch

These fully modular, ruggedized, Gigabit switches are designed for extreme applications such as applications under continuous 4G vibration strain and extensive heat conditions.

In order to fulfill the requirements of demanding conditions Belden redesigned their high performance new generation Hirschmann brand MSP30 Gigabit switch.

HiSecOS 2.0 - Hirschmann Security Operating System

The next major release of Hirschmann Security Operating System with additional features for the Eagle 20/30 product family and these are extended with every new release of the software. This new release concentrates on providing dynamic routing and VPN interfaces on Eagle 20/30.

OCTOPUS IP67 Gigabit-ETHERNET switch

The new OCTOPUS series was designed specifically for demanding applications in transportation and advanced manufacturing, which require routing functions in waterproof and dust tight housings for mounting outside of cabinets. It comes with integrated PoE power supplies for various input voltage ranges and has four Gigabit ports. The software now includes layer 3 functions and overall, OCTOPUS devices offer an outstanding cost performance ratio.
