Borealis has developed the Bormed™ family of dedicated healthcare polyolefins to satisfy the demand from the pharmaceutical industry for consistency of quality and appropriateness for healthcare applications. The Bormed range, which is successfully growing in sales, comprises polypropylene (PP), low density polyethylene (LDPE) and high density polyethylene (HDPE) grades precisely tailored for the injection and blow moulding of medical devices as well as pharmaceutical and diagnostics packaging. New Nepol™ long, glass fibre reinforced polypropylene concentrate for technically demanding injection moulded automotive parts
There is a growing trend to use dilution technology as a cost effective route for technically demanding injection moulded applications. This technology reduces the quantity of compounded material used by diluting a concentrated long, glass fibre compound (“concentrate”) with reactor polypropylene (PP) at the injection moulding stage. Borouge completes USD 40 million investment exercise to increase Polyethylene production capacity at Abu Dhabi facility to 580 kts per annum
Abu Dhabi & Singapore - Borouge announced today that its USD 40 million investment to expand the Polyethylene capacity of its USD 1.2 billion petrochemical complex in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 450 kilo tonnes (kts) to 580 kts per annum has been successfully completed in early March 2005.
