CHEMTURA INCREASES PRICE FOR KP-140 SPECIALTY ADDITIVE
MIDDLEBURY, Conn. — Chemtura (NYSE:CEM) today announced a worldwide 25% price increase on its KP-140® specialty additive, effective immediately or as contracts allow. This price increase is necessary to keep pace with escalating global raw material and energy costs.
KP-140 acts as a plasticizer and de-airing system diluent. It is used in floor polish applications as a leveling agent, in plastisols such as water-based adhesives, inks, and paints to reduce viscosity, and in textile applications as a biodegradable, non-silicone antifoam agent.
