CHEMTURA INCREASES PRICES ON PHOSPHORUS FLAME RETARDANTS

MIDDLEBURY, CT, Sept. 22, 2005 — Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) today announced a worldwide price increase of $0.70/ kg for the Reofos® and Kronitex® Phosphorous flame retardant grades, effective October 15, 2005, where contracts allow.
