CHEMTURA NAMES NEW EXEC V.P., PLASTIC ADDITIVES, TO BUILD CUSTOMER PARTNERSHIPS
MIDDLEBURY, CT – Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) has named Marcus Meadows-Smith to the position of Executive Vice President for Plastic Additives. The appointment signals a new direction for the world’s largest plastic additives manufacturer.

In our effort to create a company that could deliver more value, we didn’t always communicate the most important message, that we value our customers above all, that we’ll work diligently to control the impact of rising costs and to bring service levels up to what our customers expect and deserve. “
Meadows-Smith says the goal of the Chemtura team “is to build lasting partnerships with customers. Our company’s theme is Value is our strongest additive, and we’ve put together a strong management team to fulfill that promise.” It includes Dr. Michael Goode, VP Technology; and David Dickey, VP Logistics; Global Business Directors: Diana Peninger, Vinyl Additives; Mark van Gerwen, Antioxidants & UV Stabilizers; Steve McKeown, Polyolefin Additives; and Andy Eisenstein, Polymerization Additives & Intermediates; as well as Chris Bond, Commercial Director for the Americas, K.H. Tham, Commercial Director for Asia and Sergio Palumbo, Commercial Director for Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Meadows-Smith joined Chemtura in 1993. He has been responsible for business in Eastern and Western Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. He holds a B.S. with honors in genetics from Birmingham University in the U.K., and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program. He continues to serve as Executive Vice President for Chemtura Consumer Products and Crop Protection.
