CHEMTURA NAMES AMDURSKY TO DIRECTOR, MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS, FOR SPECIALTY CHEMICALS
Middlebury, CT - Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) has named Jon Amdursky to Director of Marketing Communications for the company’s $3 billion global specialty chemicals businesses.
Mr. Amdursky is responsible for Chemtura’s participation in more than 40 trade shows worldwide, trade advertising and trade press relations, the creation of brochures and selling tools, as well as the development of the corporate advertising campaign.
A graduate of Princeton University and The Woodrow Wilson School of Public & International Affairs, with graduate studies in marketing at Rochester Institute of Technology, Mr. Amdursky joined Crompton in 2001 as Manager, Marketing Communications, for the plastics additives and EPDM/rubber chemicals businesses.
Mr. Amdursky has held marketing communications management positions with Eastman Kodak, Dow Consumer Brands and ISP.
For the past five years, the Company’s trade shows have generated robust sales inquiry results, and its advertising has consistently earned top readership scores in major industry publications, including the 2005 corporate campaign, when Crompton and Great Lakes Chemical Corporations became Chemtura Corporation under the theme, ”Value is our Strongest Additive.”
