CHEMTURA APPOINTS RICK BEITEL VICE PRESIDENT OF GLOBAL SALES, PERFORMANCE SPECIALTIES

Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) has named Rick Beitel Vice President of Global Sales, Performance Specialties. In this position, Beitel is responsible for sales growth for those businesses comprising the Performance Specialties division, including: Transportation & Industrial Lubricants & Greases, Urethane Products, Optical Monomers, Organicometallic Catalysts & Compounds, and Fluorines. Prior to this, as Vice President of Sales Excellence, he worked to achieve key growth objectives for Chemtura’s global sales organization.

“My objective,” says Beitel, “is to maintain a best-in-class global sales organization to ensure that we meet our customers’ needs and grow our business.”

Beitel has 25 years of sales and sales management experience in the specialty chemicals industry, having served as Commercial Director of Dow Polyurethanes before joining Chemtura. He has a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Montana State University and a Master of Business Administration in finance from Central Michigan University.

Beitel has been active in industry associations, including the Alliance for the Polyurethanes Industry and the Polyurethane Foam Association.
