CHEMTURA NAMES CHRISMAN VP, GLOBAL SALES, POLYMER ADDITIVES

Chemtura Corporation (NYSE: CEM) has appointed Mark Chrisman to Vice President, Global Sales, of its Polymer Additives Group. His responsibilities include Plastic Additives, Flame Retardants, and Brominated Performance Products.

Previously, Mr. Chrisman served as the Global Commercial Director for Flame Retardants and Brominated Performance Products. He has worked for Chemtura and one of its founding companies, Great Lakes Chemical, for a combined seven years. He served in a variety of commercial and procurement functions including market development, global key account management, and global sourcing.

Mr. Chrisman has over 20 years of experience in the specialty chemical and plastics industries including sales and management experience at Dow Chemical, Huntsman Chemical, and NOVA Corporation.

He received a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University in 1985.

Mr. Chrisman’s new post is part of Chemtura’s forward strategy: By focusing on end-use markets, it will be better able to serve current customer needs, anticipate their future requirements and target rapidly growing industry segments.
