Chinaplas 2008: Chemtura’S New Naugard® 431 Plus Liquid Phenolic Antioxidant For Superior Melt Stabilization And Color Retention

Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) will showcase new Naugard® 431 Plus Liquid Phenolic Antioxidant at Chinaplas 2008, Hall W3, Booth L41.

This hydrolytically stable phenolic antioxidant is designed for applications requiring superior melt stabilization, color retention, low fog characteristics, superior gas-fade resistance and fast radical scavenging.

A one-pack, pourable additive with a simple feeding system, Naugard 431 Plus is formulated for easy handling. It is also emusifiable. Thanks to its Non-hydrolyzable chemistry, there are no hydrolysis concerns for degradation in storage or in moisture-sensitive applications.

Naugard 431 Plus is recommended for:

• Polyolefins, particularly LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE

• PVC chain stopper

• Polyols for various PU applications

• EVA Copolymers

• Polycarbonate; Rubber / Elastomer stabilization for NR and synthetic rubber

• Rubber / Elastomer antioxidant for dry rubber and latex compounds, particularly NR, SBR, SBS, polybutadiene(BR), chloroprene (CR), EPDM and latex

• ABS

• Polystyrene

• PE processing

It is engineered for use in automotive applications where additive volatility is a concern, such as automotive seat cushions, dashboards, and door and window seals.

Naugard 431 Plus is approved in China (IECSC), Canada (DSL ), Korea (ECL), Europe (EINECS), Australia (AICS), United States (TSCA and food-contact approvals ) and Japan (ENCS) with further approvals pending.
