CHEMTURA RAISES THE PRICE OF METHYL BROMIDE BY UP TO 25%

Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) will raise the price of Methyl Bromide for emissive use, by up to 25% in all regions outside North America, effective January 1st, 2009, or as contract terms allow.

While in some part reflecting the significant raw material escalation experienced in 2008, , this price adjustment reflects the true value of methyl bromide in both pre plant soil and post harvest applications, and enables continued and increasing investment in regulatory compliance.
