Through state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities at its facility in Wuhan, China, the company specializes in molding only the highest performance materials for global medical OEMs. These include polysulfone (PSU), polyetherimide (PEI), polyetheretherketone (PEEK) and polycarbonate (PC) resins, which are being increasing specified by medical device manufactures for their reliability and outstanding balance of properties in a broad range of demanding medical applications.

Russell Johnson founded China Array LLC in 1980. He has worked with China State Owned Enterprises (SOE), Township Village Enterprises (TVE), and private companies, implementing quality control procedures, improving manufacturing processes, and instituting accounting controls.

Carl Olson joined China Array in 2004. As vice president of sales and marketing, he is responsible for working with prospects, developing customers, and managing material selection for high-performance plastics applications.

China Array was founded 28 years ago by Russell Johnson to contract manufacturer industrial components in China. In 2006, it created a Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise (WOFE) as a full-service custom injection molder specializing in high-performance thermoplastics. The company is headquartered in Pittsfield, Mass. in the United States with manufacturing facilities in Wuhan, China. Wuhan was selected due to the city’s historical position as the heartland of Chinese industry. The capital of Hubei Province, Wuhan straddles the Yangtze River at the nexus of the main river, rail and highway routes running north/south and east/west across China.
