New Clariant rotational molding lab promises fast color-matching and prototyping
Charlotte, February 3, 2015 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, announces the opening of a new rotational molding laboratory and prototype-development cell at the Clariant Canada facility in Toronto. Similar rotational molding equipment and services are also available at the Clariant location in Auckland, New Zealand.

Clariant to establish strategic alliance with Beraca getting 30% of its shares of Health & Personal Care Business

Clariant Acquires Swedish De-icing Specialist Aerochem AB
Muttenz, January 16, 2015 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, has announced today that its Business Unit Industrial & Consumer Specialties (BU ICS) has completed the acquisition of the de-icing specialist Aerochem AB, a privately-owned company based in Stockholm, Sweden. Centrally located within the Nordic region Aerochem has a leading market position in supplying de-icing fluids to the aviation and railway industries in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The company reported average sales of CHF 20 Mio at accretive profitability for Clariant. Financial details of the acquisition are not being disclosed.

Clariant acquires remaining shares of Companhia Brasileira de Bentonita
Muttenz, January 12, 2015 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, signed an agreement to acquire the remaining 50% shares of Companhia Brasileira de Bentonita (CBB) from Geosol, a world leader in analytical services for mineral exploration. The transaction is subject to certain conditions precedent, as well as regulatory approvals. The agreement enables Clariant to take full ownership of a Bentonit mine and a state-of-the-art production facility, employing 101 employees and located in Vitória da Conquista in the state of Bahia, Brazil. Financial details of the acquisition are not being disclosed.

Clariant BU Additives increases prices for Polymer Additives products
Muttenz, December 3, 2014 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, announces a price increase for its Polymer Additives products. Effective January 1, 2015, prices for Plastics and Coatings products will be increased up to 10% as a result of higher costs. The increase will affect selected products within the Light Stabilizer, Antioxidant, Process Stabilizer and Antistatic portfolios.
