Clariant’s new ENVICAT® N₂O-S proven extremely effective in removing harmful N₂O from chemical plants

Munich, August 26, 2015 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, announced today a new development in controlling harmful nitrous oxide (N₂O) emissions. Nitrous oxide emissions are harmful in two ways: they exacerbate the greenhouse effect and damage the ozone layer. At present, nitrous oxide is destroying the ozone layer more aggressively than any other substance. The new ENVICAT® N₂O-S has been proven particularly effective in the decomposition of N₂O in secondary nitric acid installations or high N₂O containing gas streams such as from adipic acid production.

Clariant Chemicals’ Sales at Rs. 227 crore in Q2, 2015

Mumbai, August 4, 2015 – Clariant Chemicals (India) Limited, India’s leading specialty chemicals producer, recorded a net sales of Rs. 227 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 as compared to Rs. 264 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The profit before tax stood at Rs. 6 crore, for the quarter ended June 30, 2015.

Clariant delivers solid Q2 with improved profitability and cash flow

“Clariant continued the strong development of the first into the second quarter,” said CEO Hariolf Kottmann. “We have significantly improved our operating profitability and our cash flow. This is in-line with our objectives for 2015 and we expect cash generation to continue to increase in the second half of the year. Clariant mourns the loss of Dominik Koechlin

Muttenz, July 13, 2015 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, announced that Dominik Koechlin, non-executive member of the Board of Directors, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, July 12, 2015. Koechlin, who had a PhD in law, had joined the Board of Directors of Clariant in 2008. He was president of the compensation committee and member of the audit committee.
