Clariant features Low Emission Technology at Indometal 2016 Exhibition
Singapore, October 17, 2016 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, is helping the metal working and foundry industry in Southeast Asia to improve sustainability through its Low Emission (LE) Technology. The GEKO® LE products that leverage Clariant’s innovative Low Emission (LE) Technology will be showcased at the Indometal 2016 Exhibition to take place in Jakarta, Indonesia from 25 - 27 October 2016. During the Exhibition, Clariant will highlight the LE Technology that reduces emissions from the outset, supporting a more sustainable casting process and improving total cost of ownership for users.

Clariant bestows CleanTech Award
Muttenz, October 13, 2016 – Clariant, a global leader in specialty chemicals, yesterday presented the CleanTech Award for outstanding scientific achievements in the field of “Sustainable Chemistry” as part of the third Clariant Chemistry Day. This year, the accolade was awarded throughout Switzerland for the first time in collaboration with the University of Basel and the Swiss Chemical Society. First prize went to Luo Jingshan of the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) for his accomplishments in hydrogen fuel generation as a future energy source via solar water splitting . Britta Fuenfstueck, member of the Executive Committee at Clariant, presented the award to the beaming winner: “Today’s awardees achieved remarkable results that contribute to tackling the challenges of our society by creating product and process innovation.”

Shanghai, October 10, 2016 – Clariant, a world-leader in specialty chemicals, shares the exciting news that its Head of Production, Asia Pacific and India, Clariant Business Unit Catalysts, Juergen Koy, has been presented the Chinese Government Friendship Award in China this year. Established in the 1950s, the Chinese Government Friendship Award is the People's Republic of China's highest award for foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to the country's economic and social progress. The award ceremony was held at Zhongnanhai in Beijing on 29 September 2016, followed by a meeting with the premier Li Keqiang in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on September 30.

Clariant Expanding Capacity for Printing Tubes and Stoppers by 30 Percent
Muttenz, October 6, 2016 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, and its Healthcare Packaging unit, are announcing plans to install new, high-speed, six-color offset tube printing machines at Clariant’s production facility in Romorantin, France. The new equipment will increase capacity at the plant by an estimated 30 percent when the expansion is completed early in 2017.
