Clariant wins contract to supply CATOFIN® catalysts for world’s largest propane dehydrogenation unit
Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, today announced that it was awarded a contract by Jinneng Science & Technology Company, to design the world’s largest single-train propane dehydrogenation unit in collaboration with CB&I. The plant will be located in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China and have the capacity to produce 900,000 metric tons per annum (MTA) of propylene when completed.

Clariant starts 2018 with significant growth in sales and EBITDA
Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, today announced first quarter 2018 sales of CHF 1.722 billion compared to CHF 1.602 billion in the first quarter of 2017. This corresponds to 7 % growth in local currency as well as in Swiss francs. All Business Areas contributed to this sales growth, with particular strength in Catalysis and Care Chemicals. Organic sales rose by 5 % in local currency driven by higher volumes and supported by a positive pricing effect.
