Clariant’s “green” innovation Hostacerin® SFO takes centre stage at in-cosmetics 2009
Muttenz, April 8, 2009 - Specialty chemicals expert Clariant will introduce in-cosmetics 2009 visitors to its winning formulation of personal care products and global support designed to meet the latest skin and hair care industry trends. Taking centre stage at Stand A155 from 21-23 April will be Clariant’s new “green” innovation Hostacerin® SFO – a sunflower-oil based emulsifier for creams, lotions and sun care products produced via an energy-saving process.
In line with the increasing trend for cosmetic raw materials based on renewable resources, Hostacerin SFO is a sustainable emulsifier based on non-GMO (genetically modified organism) standard. The renewable, vegetable product is manufactured by a low energy-consuming method using naturally-available ingredients, adding to the ecological appeal of the product.
Clariant’s commitment to developing a “green” product line is part of the company’s new concept-driven strategy aimed at focusing its vast innovations and expertise on demanding and rapidly-expanding market segments.
