Clariant turns spotlight on protection and preservation at in-cosmetics 2010

Muttenz, March 2, 2010 - Exciting concepts and new product innovations designed to help formulators perfect the performance and efficiency of their cosmetic formulations form the focus of Clariant’s “protecting and preserving” theme at in-cosmetics 2010 in Paris from April 13-15, 2010, booth M30.

Clariant promises sunnier times for the sun care market with the launch of its Sun Care Concept. The Concept offers easy to process and timesaving formulations, and UV performance-boosting raw materials that provide the perfect basis for sunscreen formulations.

Visitors to Booth M30 can be the first to see the benefits of Clariant’s “integrated preservation concept”– a package of solutions to effectively preserve and viscosify cosmetic formulations with added cost-effective and “green” focused benefits for formulators. These include Velsan® SC, a 100% natural, synergistic aid; a new thickening agent Aristoflex® TAC ; and a new water-in-silicone / water-in-oil emulsifier SilCare®Silicone WSI. New effective preservative blends, preservative efficacy boosters and rheology modifiers are integrated to provide formulators with effective alternatives that preserve, and provide thickening and other aesthetic benefits in difficult to achieve low pH formulations.
