Clariant Oil Services Business to Present Expertise in Pipeline Cleaning and Corrosion Control at PPIM 2011

Muttenz, January 25, 2011 - Specialty chemicals expert Clariant’s Oil Services business will introduce Clarion “Pipeline Pigging & Integrity Management” visitors to its innovative custom technologies in pipeline cleaning and corrosion control at the Houston Marriott Westchase, February 15-17, 2011, at Booth 408.

In addition, Clariant Oil Services will present a paper, “Chemical-assisted Pipeline Pigging Cleaning Operations,” on Wednesday, February 16, at 9:15 a.m. The paper, authored by Clariant Oil Services’ technical expert and UK Sales Manager Dr. Jonathan Wylde and presented by Clariant Oil Services’ Business Development Manager Tom Swanson, will elaborate on the formulation research of a cleaning chemical for hydrocarbon transport pipelines. Laboratory testing is summarized, as well as case histories of applications in the western U.S. and the U.S. Gulf Coast. Experimental conclusions and lessons learned also will be discussed.
