Clariant Oil Services to Launch VeriTrax® at CORROSION 2011
Integrated Chemical Delivery and Data Management System Reduces Operating Cost, Increases Efficiency and Improves Customer Service
Houston, Texas (USA), 02 March 2011 – Specialty chemicals expert Clariant’s Oil Services business will introduce its VeriTrax® Automated Data Exchange system, an integrated chemical delivery and data management system for providing production chemicals to the oil and gas industry, at NACE CORROSION 2011 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas, March 13-17, 2011.
The system, which integrates GPS capability, a laptop and a “smart meter,” eliminates the need for manual data input, thereby reducing operating costs, increasing efficiency and improving customer service.
The custom-designed software interface provides a complete management framework for mobile applications and data. When a chemical delivery is made using VeriTrax, the GPS system immediately identifies the well or dispatch location, while the “smart meter” records the amount of product dispensed and sends this information into an SAP enterprise management system.
Clariant Oil Services will demonstrate VeriTrax throughout CORROSION 2011 in Booth 1441in Hall D.VeriTrax experts from Clariant Oil Services will show how the VeriTrax system works – including a look at how it integrates with SAP for more reliable chemical delivery and billing – and will answer questions about how VeriTrax results in more accurate chemical-usage and tank-level readings.
In addition, Clariant Oil Services will present two technical papers during the NACE CORROSION 2011 conference: “Corrosion Control for a Waste Disposal Line” on Monday, March 14, at 1:25 p.m., and “Control of Preferential Weld Corrosion of X65 Pipeline Steel in Flowing Brines Containing Carbon Dioxide” on Wednesday, March 16, at 10:20 a.m. Likewise, exhibition visitors to booth 1441 will learn about Clariant Oil Services’ complete line of custom-designed corrosion technologies and services that reduce and prevent corrosion and associated damages in oil and gas production, processing, transport and storage operations.
