Clariant announces price increases for waxes
Muttenz, 4 April 2011 – The Waxes Business Line of Clariant, a world leader in specialty waxes and performance polymers, announces a price increase of 5-10% across its complete wax portfolio for the second quarter 2011.
Clariant produces high performance waxes which are used mainly in plastics, coatings and inks, as well as in adhesives and polishes.
“The price increases are necessary to recover significant cost inflation in our raw materials, resulting from a combination of further raw material price hikes and an on-going imbalance in supply and demand,” indicated Bernhard Ehrenreich, Head of Clariant’s Waxes Business Line.
The price adjustments will take immediate effect.
