Clariant Oil Services to Present at SPE Produced Water Handling Workshop
- Presentation to detail monitoring, testing and mitigation of under deposit corrosion
- Education workshop on pipeline integrity and corrosion prevention
Houston (USA), June 12, 2012 - Clariant Oil Services will present its innovative water handling techniques and corrosion prevention services at the Society of Petroleum Engineers’ Produced Water Handling Workshop at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, June 27-28, 2012.
Dr. Nihal Obeyesekere, Global Integrity Manager, Clariant Oil and Mining Services, is scheduled to lead the presentation, “Use of surface mounted coupons, probes and side stream testing to monitor and control UDC in an oilfield water disposal system.” This presentation will address aspects of produced water handling during the “Corrosion” session of the conference.
The presentation will focus on the monitoring, testing and mitigation of under deposit corrosion. Clariant Oil Services will also detail the compatibility of new KHIs with typical oil and gas system corrosion inhibitors.
In addition, Clariant Oil Services will educate workshop visitors about its pipeline integrity management and corrosion prevention services.
