Clariant Oil Services’ Operations in California Achieve Significant Safety Milestone
- Location reaches 1 million man hours without a lost time accident
- Leadership credits emphasis on training programs and commitment to building safe culture
Houston, Texas (USA), 25 September 2012 – Clariant Oil Services’ operations in California have reached 10 years, or about 1 million man hours, without experiencing a lost time accident among employees, a significant safety achievement in the oil and gas industry.
The business line’s operations in California reached the mark by implementing in-depth employee training programs, rigorous auditing processes and empowering employees to make important safety decisions, said Craig Erickson, Clariant Oil Services’ Environmental Safety and Health Affairs Manager for California.
“Our customers want to partner with an organization that is dedicated to safety. This achievement is a demonstration of Clariant’s commitment to exceeding the expectations of customers and taking care of employees,” Erickson said. “While we are proud to reach this safety milestone, we are focused on continually improving our safety processes and programs, and we strive to remain accident-free for many more years to come.”
The company celebrated the achievement internally in early September, with Chris Oversby, Global Head of Oil & Mining Services, Ken Golder, Region Head of Clariant North America and Robin McClure, Head of Oil Services North America in attendance.
