Clariant Oil Services Raises Money For Cancer Support
- Company participates in Macmillan Cancer Support’s “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning”
- Employees raise more than £1,000 and donate baked goods, books, crafts and more
Houston, Texas (USA), November 20, 2012 – Clariant Oil Services UK Ltd raised more than £1000.00 for Macmillan Cancer Support by participating in the organization’s fundraising event called “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” on September 28. Clariant employees also donated baked goods, crafts, books and more to Macmillan.
The event started in 1990, when a local fundraising committee decided to hold a coffee morning where people came along to meet and mingle - as they might ordinarily do - but donate the cost of their coffee to Macmillan in the process. In 2011 51,000 people signed up to coffee morning, raising a record £10 million.
