Clariant's new EasyGuard System makes the dirt bounce off
- Innovative anti-soiling aqueous system for leathers
- Keeps leather clean and preserves its fresh look and feel
- Supports sector's demand for economical and environmentally-compatible products offering long-lasting effects
Muttenz, April 29, 2013 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, introduces its new anti-soiling EasyGuard aqueous system for leathers. This latest addition to Clariant's wide range of anti-soiling products is both simple in application and economical in use. It will be especially welcomed by tanners supplying the demanding automotive and upholstery sectors, as well as those working with footwear and fashion accessory manufacturers.
The new system is formulated to provide more effective resistance to the broad spectrum of everyday products that can spoil the appearance of leather. It provides superior resistance, preventing dirt from adhering to the finished leather, and stops soil getting into the leather structure. As a result it provides excellent cleanability and maintains the elegance and natural character of leather. Car manufacturers will also appreciate EasyGuard for its ability to keep lighter leather shades looking fresher and brighter for longer.
EasyGuard is versatile and easy to use throughout the manufacturing process, is easily applied and avoids wasteful overspray. Automotive leather requires two applications; furniture upholstery, shoe and bag leather require a single application. A complete anti-soiling system, Clariant’s EasyGuard is both economical and environmentally friendlier, with low VOC, low emissions and it is also NEP/NMP-free.
“With EasyGuard Clariant is pleased to offer tanners an innovative, sustainable and easy-to-use system that maintains the elegance and natural character of leather,” comments Ralph Schneider, responsible for the global leather Finishing range of Clariant. “It reflects our on-going commitment to address Performance.People.Planet in all our product innovation efforts.”
