Clariant receives Frost & Sullivan Award for EcoTain® Crop Protection Products
- Recognizes efficient and eco-friendly products for the agricultural industry
- Hazard-free materials improve yield efficiency, ensure minimum environmental impact, and safeguard the health of workers and end users
Muttenz, May 22, 2014 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, has received the 2014 Global Frost & Sullivan Award for New Product Innovation Leadership. The Award recognizes Clariant's EcoTain® label for products designed to address strict regulatory requirements and customer demand for safer and more eco-friendly products in the agrochemical industry.
Each year, Frost & Sullivan presents this award to the company that has developed an innovative element in a product by leverage of leading-edge technologies. The award recognized the value added features/benefits of the product and the increased ROI it offers customers, which in turn increases customer acquisition and overall market penetration potential.
Deepan Kannan, Research Analyst at Frost & Sullivan, comments: “Clariant’s line of adjuvants, dispersing agents and emulsifiers have been developed using sustainable design, manufacturing and integration processes, leading to improved yield efficiency as well as crop safety.”
Synergen® OS, for example, which is one of the adjuvants offered under the EcoTain label, leverages a non-hazardous mixture of methylated seed oil and polymeric non-ionic surfactant as raw materials. By reducing drift and enhancing rapid foliar penetration, Synergen OS helps crop protectants to reach their sites of action in sufficiently available amounts.
As part of its extended support for the agricultural industry, Clariant Crop Solutions offers tank-mix adjuvants, seed treatment and foliar fertilizer solutions, as well as enhanced application know-how.
