Clariant to sponsor Swiss Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015
- 'Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life' reflects Clariant's important focus on the challenge to improve global nutrition

Muttenz, April 30, 2015 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, is co-sponsoring the Swiss Pavilion at the prestigious Expo Milano 2015, taking place in Italy between May 1 – October 31, 2015. The Expo’s theme ‘Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life,’ links well with Clariant’s valuable contribution to improving nutrition through packaging and transportation solutions, and additives for agriculture, food and feed.
Clariant’s decision to be a major sponsor of Expo Milano 2015 builds on the success of its participation in the Shanghai Expo in 2010. The Expo is a prestigious global event which combines entertainment, interactive exhibitions and ground-breaking technologies in an intense cultural program designed to educate, share innovation and foster cooperation. Over 20 million visitors are expected at Expo Milano.
This year’s theme is particularly relevant to Clariant. As a specialty chemicals company with a commitment to sustainability, Clariant wants to add value to global challenges such as the world food situation. To address this particular topic, Clariant is working hard to develop solutions that improve fertilizers, crop protection products, food packaging and transportation. It is supporting customers’ efforts to achieve more effective and environmentally-friendly food production and livestock rearing, as well as to extend shelf-life and reduce food waste.

Clariant will be located at the Expo Milano Swiss Pavilion in Milan, Italy from May 1 – October 31, 2015.
