Mumbai, June 24, 2015 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals highlighted its specialized range of innovative and sustainable pigments and pigment preparations, at the biennial conference of the Indian Paint & Coating Association (IPCA). At the conference held in June 2015, Clariant emphasized on its pigment preparations that offer low volatile organic compounds (LVOC) attributes, infrared (IR)-reflective properties and super-transparent colorant solutions, thereby reinforcing its commitment to cater to the unmet needs in the paints & coatings industry in India.
At the event, Nitin Vaidya, Senior Technical Manager – Coatings, BU Pigments, presented a technical paper on 'Innovative approach to Colorants', which covered three color solutions for the paints & coatings industry. LVOC pigment preparations range, which is a local innovation for India caters to the rising demand for decorative paints, with low impact on the environment. IR-reflective range is suited for high-rise towers and roof-tops, offering long-lasting exterior finishes. Also, it contributes to substantial cooling and offers aesthetically pleasing effects. Hostatint® A 100-ST range, the newly-developed global range of super-transparent pigment preparations offers brilliant metallic effect shades to high end consumer goods (mobile phones, cameras, computers etc.), two wheelers and wood coatings.
"The industry is witnessing a boom in sustainable, yet cutting-edge coatings. As a result of our robust product portfolio, we have been able to propel ourselves towards a more innovation-driven business and become better equipped to deliver high quality and tailor-made solutions for our customers," said Nitin Vaidya.
