HERMAN MILLER EMBODY® CHAIR FINDS SUPPORT IN DSM MATERIALS

Herman Miller, Inc selected three different material families from DSM for the production of key elements in the new Embody® chair. The Embody represents the ultimate achievement in ergonomic task chair design. This radical departure from the usual ergonomics in office furniture uses design elements that mimic the human spine and provide absolute support to promote improved circulation and increased oxygenation to the brain. Embody does not use traditional foam; support is provided through unique design using materials such as Akulon® Polyamide 6 for support structures, and Arnitel® TPC and Sarlink® TPE for seating layers.
