DSM unveils Stanyl HGR1 to cut frictional torque in auto engine timing systems
Royal DSM, a global science-based company active in health, nutrition and materials, has launched an innovative new high performance material based on Stanyl® polyamide 46. This new material, Stanyl HGR1, reduces frictional torque in automobile engine timing systems and will provide OEMs with a very cost-effective tool for reducing fuel consumption.

DSM announces Akulon and Novamid polyamide 6 price increase for Europe
As a result of increasing raw material prices DSM will increase the price for its Akulon® and Novamid® polyamide 6 polymers and compounds. DSM will increase prices in Europe by € 120/t for polyamide polymer, and by € 85/t for polyamide compounds. These increases will take effect for all orders shipped on or after April 1, 2016 where contracts allow.

DSM supplies Stanyl PA 46 for low-friction timing system parts on the latest generation petrol engines
Royal DSM, a global science-based company active in health, nutrition and materials, announces that a special lubricated grade of its Stanyl® polyamide 46 has been chosen for low-friction slide shoes within the timing system on a new generation of energy-efficient turbocharged petrol engines. The timing systems parts are produced by the EU based precision injection molding company Quadrant Creative Molding & Systems (QCMS) in Tielt, Belgium. The system items are supplied by Tsubakimoto UK in Nottingham, a subsidiary of the global Tsubaki Group, a leader in automotive timing chain systems.

DSM to boost capacity of Akulon XS for flexible packaging films
Royal DSM, a global science-based company active in health, nutrition and materials, today announces that the company is expanding production capacity for Akulon® XS at its facility in Emmen, the Netherlands. The capacity increase is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2016. It will meet the strong-growing demand for Akulon XS, a new polyamide developed specifically for blown films used in flexible food packaging. Financial details will not be disclosed.
