New Business Manager Akulon®

KEY APPOINTMENT FOR DSM ENGINEERING PLASTICS

DSM Engineering Plastics has announced the appointment of Peter van Paridon to the post of Business Manager Akulon®.

He will be located at the Company's head office in Sittard, The Netherlands - and will be responsible for the DSM's Akulon® Polyamide 6 and 66 business.

Mr. Van Paridon, who holds a PhD in chemistry from the University of Utrecht, joined Gist-Brocades (DSM owned since 1998) in 1988. Most recently he held the post of Business Manager Dairy Ingredients. Previous posts include R&D Program Manager for Animal Feed Ingredients, Starch Processing Enzymes, Dairy Ingredients and Sales Management in Meat Ingredients.

Akulon® PA 6 and 66 is used extensively for applications in automotive, E&E and leisure and consumer goods. As film it is used in packaging, especially for food applications. Recently, DSM Engineering Plastics announced the introduction of two new grades: Akulon® Ultraflow™ for injection moulding- and Akulon® XP for film applications.
