At K 2007, DSM Engineering Plastics demonstrated its passion for innovation by introducing a wide range of new materials for existing and new markets.

In a recent announcement, Jos Goessens, President of DSM Engineering Plastics, said: “Our innovation pipeline is filled with new materials. These include PA4T, a new polymer which extends the portfolio for high performance engineering thermoplastics with an exciting and unique balance of properties. This new polymer will help drive miniaturization and convergence of electronic devices like cell phones and computers and assist automakers in continued weight reduction efforts for better fuel efficiency and lower costs.

Other new developments include Arnitel® C for cables, Stanyl® Diablo OCD2100 for under the bonnet parts, Akulon® XP grades for packaging, Arnite® XG Halogen Free types for E&E and Akulon® Ultraflow for various applications. In addition, we will be offering materials for applications in complete new segments. These include Akulon® PA6 for structural reinforcements and oil sumps, Stanyl® ,high performance polyamide, for Light Emitting Diodes or gears, Arnitel® VT for breathable films.
