The Chemical Industry and its Customers
Brussels December 21st, ECMSA (European Chemical Marketing and Strategy Association) and CWD (Chemical World Database) announced that they will run a one day conference in Brussels on March 15th 2005 to explore the chemical industry’s experiences of China. Focusing on the actual experience of those businesses that have ridden the China investment boom and the prospects for consumer driven demand for chemicals the conference will set out to explore the pro’s and con’s associated with investment in China. The conference will be held under the auspices of CEFIC and with the support of the VCI. This event is being organised by the chemical industry for the chemical industry.
The programme will be divided into three sessions: End-user industries and their strategies in China; How can the chemical companies respond to the strategies of their customers; Investment and Trade Strategies . The preliminary programme for the event includes keys speakers from, Volkswagen, Boston Consulting, BASF and Degussa .
To be held at the CEFIC offices in Brussels on March 15th from 10.00 to 16.30, the event will be followed by a networking function at which participants will have a further opportunity to question the key presenters as well as discuss their own experiences and issues.
