EMG Staffs Up New Beijing Office

(Beijing 19th September 2007) – EMG has announced the first two key appointments for its new branch office in Beijing, China, which will complement its already successful operation in Shanghai.

Jason Cao was appointed in June as general manager to oversee the set-up process and launch EMG in the Beijing marketplace. Jason brings to EMG extensive experience of PR and marketing communications, both on the client and the agency side. Most recently he has worked for Weber Shandwick and First Vision Communications, where he was Account Director for Toshiba. His client experience is mainly in the B2B/technology sector, which will complement the Plastics & Chemicals expertise EMG has built up in its Shanghai office. Jason is a graduate of the Beijing Business Institute with a Bachelor degree in International Trade.

Tony He joined the new operation in August as Senior Account Executive. Tony joins from CCID Creative Marketing Consulting, a major PR company in Beijing, where he was responsible for various clients including the software developer Autodesk. Previously he worked for LXY Communications and Swisshotel in Beijing. He studied Economics at the International Trade University in Beijing.

Commenting on the new appointments Robin Baker, EMG’s Global General Manager said “Building the new team is critical to our success here in Beijing, so I am delighted that EMG has been fortunate to attract two experienced PR professionals who know the local marketplace and have the track record to develop our presence in Beijing.”

Recruitment is continuing and further appointments are planned for the near future.
