Arla Plast’s new Griphen Frost™ uses Eastman 14471 copolyester resin to provide new image for Abbey
CAPELLE A/D IJSSEL, THE NETHERLANDS - As part of an extensive re-branding exercise, UK high street bank Abbey is refitting its 714 branches in the United Kingdom over the next three years, using its new corporate identity. For the interior display panels, the material selected was Griphen Frost™ from Arla Plast of Sweden. These sheets, made from Eastman 14471 copolyester resin, were thermoformed to retain their matt surface finish, giving great visual impact. In addition, the material has Class 1Y fire certification in the UK – with low smoke density and emission of non-toxic gases in a fire.

Mexican Furniture Manufacturer Chooses Eastman Spectar® Copolyester for Sofa Design

HASSA chose Spectar copolyester because it can be a water-clear, easy to mold, bend and drill, yet strong enough to support the weight of people enjoying the furniture's innovative design.

Eastman Copolyester Resins Earn Fire Safety Certification in Germany
CAPELLE A/D IJSSEL, THE NETHERLANDS - Eastman Chemical Company's Spectar® and Kelvx® copolyester resins have been certified non-toxic, receiving B1 ratings with regard to acute inhalation toxicity, from the Elektro-Physik Aachen GmbH, an independent German-based flammability and smoke toxicity testing laboratory.
