Eastman’s relaunched Glass Polymer™ microsite provides ‘crystal clear’ information to cosmetics packaging industry
Microsite provides packaging designers, brand owners insight on creating unique, innovative design concepts using The Glass Polymer
Eastman Chemical Company has relaunched a whole new look to its Web microsite, www.theglasspolymer.com that provides insight into the innovative design possibilities of Eastman’s specialty plastics for cosmetics and personal care packaging, marketed under The Glass Polymer™ portfolio. The microsite is designed to educate packaging designers and brand owners on the features and benefits of The Glass Polymer in new product development, creating the opportunity for brand differentiation in a competitive retail environment.
“Our new microsite demonstrates to users the wide acceptance The Glass Polymer has among brand owners and designers in the cosmetics and personal care industries,” says Vincent Gugumus, global market development manager, cosmetics packaging, Eastman. “With its comprehensive information and eye-catching application stories, the site brings to life unique and innovative packaging concepts created during the design phase of new product development.”
Complete with application examples, Eastman’s microsite educates users in simple, non-technical language on the attributes of The Glass Polymer, including high clarity and gloss that give it the look and feel of traditional glass. The site also supports Eastman’s global cosmetic strategy, providing content in several languages from the key markets the company represents including: English, Portuguese, Spanish, French and Japanese.
The Glass Polymer microsite also shows examples of how brand owners and packaging designers have developed custom-shaped applications that have proven successful in the marketplace. For example, French beauty brand Matis, opted for a vessel made from Eastman’s Glass Polymer to convey the superior qualities of its new luxury range of face creams.
