Introducing Quadrum®: Multi-purpose display system enhanced by Spectar® Frosty Sheet
CAPELLE A/D IJSSEL, THE NETHERLANDS - An innovative multi-functional modular display system has been introduced by Netherlands-based international design company Visuality’s. The company selected new Frosty Sheet made with Spectar® copolyester from Eastman Chemical Company to create exciting new design opportunities.
Quadrum® is a multi-functional display system consisting of a series of flat-packed modules that can easily and quickly be transformed into cubes. Available in three different sizes, these cubes can be slotted together in any combination to create stunning displays of any size – in mere minutes. The system, which is light weight and can be assembled on-site, is extremely suitable for use in displays and POPs, at trade shows and exhibitions or for theatrical and stage applications. All parts of the system meet the requirements of fire classification B1.
The material used for the modules is 2 mm new Frosty Sheet made with Spectar copolyester from Eastman. In addition to high impact resistance and durability, the material creates the necessary stability in combination with high aesthetics. The lightweight sheets are incredibly strong and have no need for complex or expensive frameworks or supporting structures. The system can be personalised by screen-printing, painting or hot-stamping. And an in-light function is available for additional light and colour effects. A range of accessories, including table-tops and clickable signs is currently being developed.
The Quadrum system was designed by Gert Baaten and is marketed by his company, Visuality’s, based in Tilburg, The Netherlands. Mr. Baaten explains: “Over the past 30 years, I have created literally thousands of displays for companies all over the world. As pressure increases on both time and resources, it is crucial for display professionals to have access to a system that is easy to handle, cost effective and aesthetically pleasing. It is for this reason that we developed this system, which can be transported easily, assembled – and dismantled - quickly and be used time and again – in new different combinations. The system is ideal for companies that require a corporate look, but need to adapt to local conditions.” He adds: “Quadrum combines style with adaptability – for maximum visual impact. The simplicity of the design ensures that the focus remains on the items on display – not on the system itself.”
Gert Baaten: “As we developed the system, we found that Eastman was not only able to provide material support – they also offered invaluable design advice which allowed us to develop the product faster and more efficiently. In Frosty Sheet we found the ideal combination of looks, functionality and fabrication characteristics.”
